Eamon graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1994 and worked as an Orthopaedic Surgery registrar in Perth and London, prior to commencing training in Radiology in 2001 in Western Australia.  In 2005 and 2006 he undertook subspecialist Fellowship training Radiology in Musculoskeletal Imaging in London and Oxford, before returning to Perth in 2007, where he has worked since as a consultant musculoskeletal radiologist and sports imaging specialist.

In 2009 Eamon joined Envision Medical Imaging where he started Western Australia’s first dedicated sports imaging service. He provides imaging services for WA-based elite state and national level athletes, including the Western Australian Institute of Sports and the Western Australian Cricket Association. He is also a part of the Fremantle Dockers medical team, where he has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of tendon and muscle injuries. His other special interest includes the diagnosis and management of entrapment neuropathies, including the use of ultrasound guided percutaneous neurolysis and Botulinum Toxin A as treatment modalities for conditions such as hamstring syndrome and piriformis syndrome. He also has extensive experience in the use of autologous blood and platelet rich plasma for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, including tendon and joint pathologies.

Eamon is committed to research and has numerous publications in the field of musculoskeletal imaging, including collaborating with Cricket Australia in research on lumbar stress injury and bowler’s side strain injury.
