What are MRI Abdominal and Pelvic scans?

Abdominal or Pelvic MRI scans are performed for a wide variety of clinical reasons, providing unique diagnostic information. Upper Abdominal scans can be done to look at the Liver/Biliary System (MRCP), as well as the other abdominal organs. Pelvic scans can be done for gynaecological issues, cancer staging (Such as Cervix or Rectum) or prostate. Enterography can also be done to look at the small bowel, most commonly in patients with Crohn’s disease.
