New PRP therapy now available at Envision

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy is widely acknowledged to provide significant clinical benefit in a range of musculoskeletal pathologies. It has been shown to be an effective treatment option in the management of osteoarthritis. PRP is often, but not always, an appropriate treatment for many chronic tendon injuries.

EnvisionNewsletter-FebMar2017-10Envision has provided specialty PRP therapy since our inception in 2008 and our vast clinical experience helps referrer and patients determine whether PRP may be beneficial to the treatment of their injuries. We at Envision pride ourselves on providing state-of-the-art services and we are pleased to provide a new PRP therapy option called Alocuro. Recent trials within the practice have shown significant clinical benefit to our patients.

The benefits of Envision’s new Alocuro PRP system include:

  • Higher and more consistent platelet concentration than other PRP systems, providing better healing and improved clinical response
  • Customisable platelet content to better target joint pathology
  • Using leukocyte depleted PRP which reduces pain post-procedure and improves clinical outcomes.
